Hiking and mountain biking are the best in the summer and fall. Caribou Lake is an easy day trip on a mountain bike. Miles of forest service roads are available for biking and trailheads to Beehive Lakes, Harrison Lake and Chimney Rock Fault Lake are a short distance away.

Other activities at the lodge include horseshoes, huckleberry picking, mile high volley ball, evening campfires or just relaxing with a good book.

Caribou Mountain Lodge is a very peaceful and private place. It is an excellent choice for small retreats, workshops or reunions. Wildlife is abundant. The Caribou Creek drainage is home to moose, elk, cougar, bobcat, mule deer, black bear, martin, wild turkey, forest grouse, eagles, ravens and numerous species of hawks.
